How it works

From image to prompt in three steps.

No prompt-writing experience needed — Prompt Snap does the describing, you do the generating.

01

Upload an image

Drag in a photo, render, screenshot, or moodboard tile — anything you want described in prompt form. JPG, PNG, and WEBP up to 10MB.

There's no need to crop or clean the image up first. The analysis model works from the whole frame, so context like background and framing is read along with the subject.

02

The image gets analyzed

Prompt Snap reads the image in layers — subject, composition, lighting, color palette, medium, and mood — the same way a working prompt is structured.

This happens through a vision-language model that describes what it sees, then a formatting pass rewrites that description into prompt-ready phrasing rather than a plain caption.

03

Copy your prompt

The result lands in a plain-text panel you can copy in one click. It's saved to your History automatically so you can revisit or tweak it later.

Pro and Business plans can additionally reformat the same analysis for a specific target — Midjourney parameter syntax, SDXL-style tag lists, or DALL·E-style natural sentences.

Getting better results

Use a clear focal point

Images with one obvious subject produce more focused prompts than busy scenes with several competing elements.

Higher resolution reads better

The model can pick up more detail — fabric texture, lighting direction, fine linework — from a sharper source image.

Try the same image twice

Results vary slightly between runs. Re-running a tricky image is often enough to surface a detail the first pass missed.

Try it on your own image.
